Who we share your data with
This website uses Google Analytics so we can have a better understanding of how the website is being used. This service can store personal data such as ip addresses but does not store names or addresses. Google have their own privacy policy.
Our website is hosted by Stablepoint and they have their own privacy policy. Please note that the server we use is based in the UK. The server logs they store probably contain ip addresses, which are seen as “personal data” by the GDPR gods – particularly static ip addresses. As these are used for security purposes on the server, it falls under Article 6.1 of the GDPR legislation which states that it is legal to process personal data if “processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller”. Therefore we do not need your permission for this use of your ip address but we do want to be completely transparent about it.
We use Substackfor our newsletter. We ask you for the bare minimum of personal data to allow us to email you a newsletter. If you find you are receiving unwanted newsletters at any point, just unsubscribe. The data on our e-newsletter list will be retained until someone unsubscribes.
Any info sent on the contact form is now stored on our database as well as on Yahoo’s email server. Again, get in touch if you want us to delete all of your emails.
How long we retain your data
We will retain your data indefinitely unless you request us to remove it.
